The Model 5110 was an improvement upon the Model 5000 in that it utilized the 50L6GT tube in place of the 35L6GT output amplifier. This eliminated a potentially troublesome resistor in the filament circuit. The Model 5110 was available in ivory, gold, green, blue and rose cabinet colors, but not apparently in a brown unpainted cabinet.. Apparently some of these radios were offered with brown knobs however.

1. The fan-shaped dial and one-armed pointer are used, but the part number (R16127-24) differs from the part number of fan-shaped dials used in some other models (16127-24). This fan dial contains lettering and numerals that are thicker than those of the R16127-24 dial. In addition there is one less dial marking at the 150 numeral that is present on the R16127-24 dial.

2. A two-hole rainbow cabinet is used.

3. The right hole accommodates the tuning knob..

4. The left hole accommodates the on/off switch and volume control.

6. The back is attached to the chassis by rivets located in two upper holes. Two lower back holes are left open.

7. The built-in loop antenna is attached to the back by staples.

1. Speakers are found in two shapes: round and rounded square. Both speaker shapes are stamped with manufacturer's part No. R12791.
